We’ve made no secret of our ambition to crack America, a whole new trading territory with an immense recreational vehicle market.
With this in mind, Duvalay’s Liz Colleran recently attended a New York Trade Delegation, designed to advance transatlantic opportunities for high-flying women in British business.
The trip was a resounding success. Liz attended a range of meetings with organisations such as the UK’s Trade and Investment department at the British Consulate. She was able to obtain all sorts of crucial information on trading conditions and regulations within the vast US marketplace, and was able to present Duvalay to a range of inspirational new connections in glamorous locations!
Liz visited a Long Island recreational vehicle dealership on her travels, where she met Chuck, a real character who knew everything there is to know about recreational vehicles in the USA! Duvalay received a fantastic reception, and promises to be warmly received by the American Market, where there is nothing like our much-loved Duvalay.
We’ve already rolled out our range of amazingly comfortable sleeping solutions across Europe and Australia. With an exciting and promising patent pending in America, we’re keen to replicate our success in the US, so Liz was joined by Alan Colleran for a meeting with the American Examiner at Washington’s US Patent Office.
Alan and Liz are excited about their Duvalay’s prospects stateside, and plan to visit American trade shows in the near future, when they will begin their mission to conquer America, State by State, establishing partnerships and further investigating the best distribution channels for Duvalay.
America represents a fantastic opportunity for growth; but also raises some interesting challenges. There’s a lot to learn and we’re determined to make the most of every opportunity.
