To clean the mattress directly, wipe down with a clean damp cloth, allowing the mattress to thoroughly dry afterwards. Avoid using any harsh detergents or chemical cleaners on your mattress.
As our mattresses are designed with multiple layers to maximise support and comfort, they do not need to be turned. However, you should rotate your mattress to maintain equal wear and tear on the memory foam layer. We recommend rotating your mattress once a week for the first month of use and then once a month thereafter. Rotating your mattress gives the memory foam layer time to recover before its next rotation.
Do you offer a service to take away old mattress?
Unfortunately, we don’t currently offer a mattress removal service. However, there are several easy ways to responsibly dispose of your old mattress:
- Local Council Collection: Many local authorities offer bulky waste collection services for a small fee. Check your council’s website for details and booking options.
- Household Waste Recycling Centre (Tip): Most recycling centres will accept mattresses—just make sure to check what your local site allows before heading there.
- Specialist Recycling Services: There are dedicated companies that collect and recycle old mattresses.
How long can it be kept rolled?
We recommend unboxing your rolled mattress within 4 weeks of delivery. While the mattress is safely compressed for transport, keeping it rolled for too long can affect its ability to fully expand and may impact comfort and performance.
Unboxing it within the 4-week window ensures the foam retains its intended shape and support
What is the process when buying a custom mattress from Duvalay?
- We will ask for the make and model of your vehicle when you place your order
- You will then receive an email from us with a template attached of your bed. We hold a large file of CAD drawings for all different makes and models
- Check the dimensions on the drawing to ensure they match your bed
- Confirm if the drawing is correct or let us know if there are any amendments that need making and our CAD team can redraw this
- Once the drawing and measurements are confirmed your order with go into production.
Can Duvalay make a mattresses to fit an island bed?
Yes, we can make our Custom Mattresses to any shape or size, including to fit island beds and French beds.
What depth is the D-Lite Alto Mattress?
Our D-Lite Alto Mattress is 15cm in depth.

Delivery times for mattresses vary depending on the type:
- Rolled mattresses (including D-Roll and EasySleep ranges): approx. 2 weeks
- All other mattresses: approx. 3–4 weeks
- Available to UK Mainland addresses only
- Excludes: Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Ireland, and the Scottish Islands
