A game changer for over 15 years, delivering better sleep wherever you lay your head, the Duvalay Sleeping Bag is one of our most popular products thanks to its unique concept, offering the perfect blend of comfort and support in an easy-to-use design. In this blog, we want to highlight its key features and answer some common questions to show you that everyone can benefit from a Duvalay!
What is a Duvalay Sleeping Bag?
The beauty of the Duvalay Sleeping Bag lies in its simplicity. At its core, it combines three essential elements for a comfortable night’s sleep on the go: a topper and duvet encased in a cover. Though it may sound basic at first, it’s our innovative design, high-quality materials, and thoughtful craftsmanship that make it a truly industry-leading sleep solution.
What makes it different to other sleeping bags?
Where conventional sleeping bags are enclosed, the Duvalay is open at one end, allowing you freedom of movement. Simply lay it down and it will stay securely in place while you sleep. Though its design is simple, the Duvalay Sleeping Bag offers so many customisable options, giving you a sleep experience that’s personalised to your preference and requirements.
- Choose from Gold Memory Foam or cooling Freshtec Foam.
- Pick your depth: 4cm or 5cm (Comfort). Gold Memory Foam is also available in 2.5cm (Compact).
- 3 width options: 58cm, 66cm or 77cm (all 190cm length).
- Interchangeable duvet options: 4.5 Tog to stay cooler in Summer or 10.5 Tog for keeping warm in Winter.
- Choose your colour: The cover is available in a variety of colours and prints to match your interior and suit your style.
Another great aspect of our Sleeping Bag is that it doesn’t forget about the kids. The Dinky Duvalay is a smaller, 140cm length version of the full-size design. Available in 2.5cm Gold Memory Foam or 4cm Freshtec, offering your little one the same portable comfort and support that you experience. Ideal for 2–8-year-olds, the colourful animal print design is sure to be a hit!
Where can I use one?
Incredibly versatile, the Duvalay Sleeping Bag is designed to go wherever you do, making it the perfect companion for life on the road, whether you’re travelling in a campervan, caravan or motorhome, a boat, camping under canvas or looking for a more comfortable night’s sleep in a truck perhaps. And its usefulness doesn’t stop when you’re back home. The Duvalay is also ideal for houseguests on the sofa or in the spare room.
What’s the difference between the foams?
Gold Memory Foam is our highest density option. This incredibly supportive foam moulds to the shape of your body to cradle it in place. We recommend this foam particularly to people who suffer from joint and back pain thanks to its amazing pressure relief, or for those with a heavier build.
Our innovative Freshtec foam is a comfortable alternative to memory foam. Its open-cell technology allows for greater breathability, helping to regulate temperature and wick away moisture. The best option for those who tend to sleep warm, Freshtec has a softer, bouncier feel for truly restful sleep. Freshtec foam also comes with a Cool-Touch cover to keep you feeling fresh all night long.

What are the different sizes recommended for?
If you’re planning to use your Sleeping Bag in a caravan, motorhome or campervan, choosing the right size for your setup is key to getting the best possible night’s sleep. We know that sleeping areas can vary quite a bit between different leisure vehicles, and even from one model to another, so we offer the Duvalay Sleeping Bag in three different widths to make sure you get the perfect fit. We recommend measuring your sleep area before placing an order, so you know which one is best to go for.
Our 66cm width is the most popular option, since it fits comfortably on most caravan and motorhome seats. If you’re travelling in a campervan with a narrower sleeping area, the more compact 58cm width is often the ideal choice, or if you have a little more space to play with, the wider 77cm option gives you that extra room to stretch out and get comfortable.

Is it reversible, and can I make it into a double?
Short answer, yes! You can easily reverse it so the opening is on either the left or right side without even taking the cover off. Simply grab the corner of the topper from the enclosed bottom corner and gently pull it towards you, turning the Sleeping Bag inside out as you go.
While we don’t offer a dedicated double-sized Sleeping Bag, it’s easy to create your own version that’s more convenient to pack away. Simply reverse one of your Duvalays using the method above so the zips are on opposite sides and then lay them both together. They don’t zip together, but they will stay securely in place as a cosy double sleeping space.
How to care for your Duvalay
Keeping your Sleeping Bag fresh and clean couldn’t be easier, thanks to our clever double-zip system to remove the foam and duvet. Made from soft 180-thread-count polycotton, just pop the cover straight into the washing machine.
Because we pride ourselves on being practical as well as comfortable, we also offer spare Sleeping Bag covers – perfect for keeping a fresh one ready for quick bedding changes on the go when you can’t wait for your cover to dry.
To keep your Duvalay fresh and clean, the duvet and foam protector cover are also machine washable – just check the product page for the full details. As a top tip, we recommend giving it a wash before you put it away for storage, so it’s ready to roll as soon as you want to use it again.
How do I store it?
We know that every inch of space counts when it comes to life in a leisure vehicle, so we’ve designed the Duvalay Sleeping Bag to easily roll up, allowing for convenient storage under vehicle seats/beds during the day, or home cupboards/wardrobes. The rolled diameter varies from 30 – 40cm depending on your depth, foam and duvet choice. Just secure it with the handy straps to keep it in place. To keep your Duvalay clean, protected and easy to transport, we also supply a Storage Bag especially for our Sleeping Bags, complete with a zip closure and carry handles.
