Travelling the moors

Today is World Mental Health Day, so we at Duvalay really wanted to take this opportunity to raise awareness of how important it is to look after our wellbeing, and the little things we can do to give ourselves a chance to pause and reset. Getting out on the road for a change of scenery and away from the stresses of day-to-day life is sometimes just what we need.

Whether you’re jumping in the campervan for the weekend or heading off for a longer trip in a caravan or motorhome, a leisure vehicle gives you the freedom to get away from the usual routine and make time for yourself. Discover more of your local area, the wider UK and even beyond!
Even simple things like a wander through woodland, along the coast, around a quiet little village or simply sitting outside your vehicle and listening to the birds can give you a chance to slow down and be present. And when it’s time to wind down for the evening, having a cosy, comfortable sleeping space can make all the difference.

A good-quality mattress or topper, comfortable bedding and a warm sleeping bag can help transform the sleeping area in your leisure vehicle into somewhere you genuinely look forward to returning to. Think of it as your own little sanctuary on the road – somewhere to curl up with a book, listen to the rain and enjoy a quiet cup of tea as you lie back and let your mind switch off. Good sleep is an important part of looking after our overall wellbeing, so making your sleeping space comfortable is a simple way to make your trips away feel even more relaxing.

World Mental Health Day is a reminder that mental health matters, and that looking after ourselves can take many different forms. For some people, that might mean taking a little time to slow down, reconnect with nature or spend quality time with the people they love. Your leisure vehicle can help make those moments possible.
