Duvalay makes Great British Entrepreneur Awards shortlist

Duvalay continues with its award streak after being shortlisted in the Family Business Entrepreneur of the Year (North West, Yorkshire and The Humber) Category.

The awards, which champion the entrepreneurs behind some of Britain’s brilliant businesses, celebrate the hard work and inspiring stories that make these companies successful. Over the years, the awards have celebrated some household names including Julie Deane OBE of Cambridge Satchel Co., James Watt of BrewDog, Alan and Juliet Barrett of Grenade and Shaun Pulfrey of Tangle Teezer.

This year saw Duvalay compete with over 2500 entries across the UK to be shortlisted; and is one of just four finalists in their category.

The next stage of the award process will see a virtual regional awards ceremony on September 23rd, where the winners of each category will compete at national level in November.

Being shortlisted as a Family Business Entrepreneur of the Year highlights the work both Alan and Liz have done together to make Duvalay the success it is today. The second generation of Colleran’s have also joined the company; bringing new skills and knowledge to continue to strengthen and grow the business.

Sales & Marketing Director Liz Colleran says: “We are excited to have been shortlisted for this award, as it recognises the achievements we’ve made as a family over the years.

“Businesses need championing more than ever at the moment, and the GBEA are much more than a simple ‘award’, they are an active community that promotes brilliant British businesses and we’re proud to have been selected to be part of that.

“We’ll be dressing up for our virtual awards do in September and we hope to make it to the national finals in November!”
