Duvalay has been shortlisted in the Family Business and the newly created Disruptor categories at this year’s Yorkshire Business Masters Awards 2021!
The awards, which celebrate the region’s success stories of the past year, will be held on Thursday October 14 in Leeds.
Over the last year, many businesses have had to adapt how they operate, including introducing new ways of working and launching new products to meet the change in shopping habits.
As a company, 2020 saw Duvalay launch a new collection of mattresses-in-a-box which allow for easy, contact-free delivery. This has been a huge selling point for many due to Covid -19. They've also continued to find new ways to lessen their impact on the environment by working with One Tree Planted to plant a tree for every Duvalay Sleeping Bag sold online.
“Just like so many businesses out there, 2020 and into 2021 has been like nothing we have ever experienced before," says Liz Colleran, Sales & Marketing Director at Duvalay.
“The first lockdown, while a scary time, provided us with an opportunity to refocus the business and consider the next chapter in our journey. It resulted in the launch of a new product range and the strengthening of our senior leadership team with the appointment of both Thomas and William Colleran to Director positions.
'As a result, the business moves into Q3 of 2021 in a strong position and this award shortlist is testament to all the hard work we have put in over the last 18 months.
'We’re particularly proud of being shortlisted in the Disruptor category as we have always taken pride in changing the status quo for the sleep industry."
